
Kazemi Ranked Among National Leaders

Arsalan Kazemi's statistical numbers after a near, triple-double will surely be a topic of discussion tonight as the Ben Braun Radio Show airs from the Edloe Street Café on 1560 The Game.
After missing the Houston Baptist game, Kazemi returned to the starting lineup in Saturday's win over St. Thomas and finished with a season-high equaling 18 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists. He also had three steals and a block in the Owls' 81-67 victory.
Through the first quarter of the regular season, Kazemi is now averaging 12.6 points and 11.9 rebounds while shooting 58.2 percent from the field. He also leads the team with 14 steals and 11 blocked shots. The junior forward ranks second on the squad with 22 assists.
The NCAA Statistical Service has Kazemi ranked fourth in rebounding in this week's release of Division I statistical leaders. He also ranks seventh in double-doubles with five.
Braun's weekly show, which provides an inside look into the Rice University basketball program, is broadcast each Monday from the Edloe Street Café in West University from 7 to 8 p.m.
This week Braun and host David Saltzman will recap a pair of wins which moved the Owls' record to 6-2 heading into finals at Rice. The Owls' next home game is Dec. 14th when the team plays host to Louisiana College.
Tonight's guests include Rice alum Bobby Tudor who scored 1,018 points and had 223 rebounds during his four-year career (1978-82).
