
Rice Falls To Tulsa In Overtime, 80-73

TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Darold Crow scored 21 points and Tulsa hit a season-high 12 3-pointers as the Golden Hurricane held off pesky Rice 80-73 in overtime Saturday.
Tulsa (9-13, 4-5 Conference USA) made 8-of-10 free throws and didn't miss a field goal in the extra period to narrowly win a game they led by 14 points in the second half.
Morris Almond led the Owls (10-12, 4-5) with 31 points. Rice coach Willis Wilson was ejected with 14:36 left in the game after receiving two technical fouls after Almond picked up his third foul.
After not scoring for the final 6:11 of regulation, Tulsa came out hot in overtime, making its first three shots to take a quick 68-62 edge. Chris Wallace hit 4-of-4 free throws in the final minute to seal it.
Tulsa hit of 12-of-24 3-pointers for the game, led by Crow and Wallace with four each. Wallace finished with 16 points and Anthony Price and Charles Ramsdell each added 10.
Tulsa took a 49-35 lead after Brett McDade hit 2-of-4 free throws on Wilson's technicals. But Wilson's tirade seemed to ignite the Owls, who went on an immediate 12-1 run to cut Tulsa's lead to 50-47 at 9:34.
The Owls finished regulation on a 10-0 spurt that tied it 60-60. Patrick Britton hit 4-of-4 free throws, and Tulsa missed six shots and two free throws and had four turnovers in the final six minutes of regulation.
Tulsa led 34-26 at halftime.
