The Rice Owls basketball team hosts Texas Southern on Wed., Dec. 21. Tip-off is set for 7:05 pm at historic Autry Court. This will be the Owls' last home game until it meets Yale on Jan. 2 (7:05 pm). Rice will play at Murray State on Dec. 30.
The Tigers of TSU have only played two home games at home and are led in scoring by senior guard Sean Walker at 16.0 ppg. Sophomore Jacques Jones leads Texas Southern in rebounding at 5.4 rpg, while Christopher Moore follows at 5.3.
Rice is led in scoring by junior guard Morris Almond, the current Conference USA Player of the Week, at 15.2 ppg, which is fifth-best in C-USA. Senior J.R. Harrison is the Owls' top rebounder at 7.2 rpg.
