The Rice Owls revisit the early days in the WAC as the Utah Utes come to historic Autry Court on Saturday at 3:06 pm (CST). The Utes are fresh off their 67-66 victory over Utah State this past Wedsnesday. The Owls, meanwhile, defeated Prairie View A&M 67-58 on Tuesday. Utah won the last meeting against Rice 60-49 on Feb. 7, 1998 in Houston.
The Utes are led by senior Bryant Markson's 16.8 ppg and 5.0 rpg and Johnnie Bryant's 15.5 ppg.
Rice is led by J.R. Harrison and Lorenzo Williams, who each average 13.0 ppg. Harrison leads the Owls on the boards with a 9.0 rebounding average.
