HOUSTON (AP) - Morris Almond scored 21 point to lead Rice to a 93-54 win over Palm Beach Atlantic on Thursday night.
Almond was 9-of-13 from the field and grabbed eight rebounds for the Owls (4-4). Cory Pflieger and Lorenzo Williams chipped in 13 points apiece, and Rice jumped out to a 50-17 lead at halftime.
Palm Beach Atlantic (2-10) had only one scorer in double figures, Spencer Lee, who had 10 points.
Rice shot more than 58 percent from the field for the game. Palm Beach Atlantic shot less than 32 percent and was outrebounded 49-27.
