Rice junior Lindsey Hodge has been named Conference USA's Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week, becoming the third member of the Owls to be honored this year.
Hodge was unbeaten in a pair of matches, including her first career win over a player ranked in the national top 30.
She defeated Bianca Turati of Texas, who was ranked 26th in the nation, 6-3, 6-3 in the Owls marathon 4-3 loss to the Longhorns on March 13 and then downed Memphis' Anki Wind 6-2, 7-6 (7-1) on Sunday.
She joins teammate Alison Ho and doubles partner Wendy Zhang in being honored by C-USA this season and it marks the second time in her career she has been selected.
The Owls will be back on the road on Friday to take on Arizona in a rescheduled dual match from earlier this season.
