Erin Flanigan's win in the 500-freestyle highlighted the Rice swim team's performance at the 2015 CSCAA National Invitational in Rockwall, Texas.
Flanigan swam a 4:48.59 to lead a 1-2 Owl finish in the 500 with Anniina Ala-Seppälä (4:53.05). Rice posted a total of six individual second place finishes at the meet, as well as taking second in three of the five relays.
True freshman Kiley Beall was second in three events. The rookie from Lexington Park, Md., was second in the 100-backstroke (55.27) and the 100- (54.72) and 200-butterfly (2:00.83).
Taylor Armstrong placed second in the 100-freestyle (51.35) and third in the 200-free (1:50.77). Freshman Kaitlyn Swinney was second in the 400-individual medley (4:24.50).
