Rice head football coach David Bailiff is calling on all past Rice football letterman to join the members of the current staff for the 2010 Rice Football Letterman Golf Classic on Friday, March 26 at the Sienna Plantation Golf Classic.

The annual event is a fund raiser for the Rice football program and kicks of a weekend of events surrounding the annual Blue-Gray Spring Game on March 27. Sienna Plantation is one of the Houston area's most enjoyable and challenging places to play. The terrain is fairly flat, but the course has been contoured to provide dramatic elevation changes that will accent and enhance the design with artistic forms and shadows.

The event kicks off with breakfast at 9 a.m. Teams will hit the course at 11 a.m. and conclude the day's activities with an awards party and auction at 4:30. The field will be limited to 20 teams made up of four players. The Golf Classic will be a Scramble Format. Each player will receive a shirt, cap, sleeve of golf balls and a team photo of Foursome. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams, longest drive and closest to the pin winners.

Sponsorship opportunities are available at several levels of donation. For more information on the 2010 Rice Football Letterman Golf Classic, please call Ingrid Sobrino at (713) 348-8857 or via email
