Tracey Lam Named to Conference USA All-Academic Team

Irving Park, Texas - Senior volleyball player Tracey Lam has been named to the 2010 Conference USA All-Academic Volleyball Team, as selected by the league's sports information directors. The all-academic team consists of student-athletes who have earned a 3.2 cumulative grade point average or better and are a starter or key reserve on their team. This is Lam's third C-USA All-Academic Team honor.

Lam, a native of San Francisco, sports a 3.753 GPA with a double major in economics and Asian studies. She will also graduate in May with a minor in business. A two-time C-USA Libero of the Year, Lam leads the league with 667 digs and is also the Rice record holder for career digs. With one match to play in the 2010 season, Lam has set a C-USA single season record for most digs in a conference season with 436 digs. She is averaging 5.75 assists per set, which is first in C-USA and ranks fourth in the nation. She posted a C-USA-high 6.38 assists per set in two matches last week.

The Owls play their final match of the season this Saturday, November 27 when they host Houston at 7 p.m. inside Tudor Fieldhouse.
